MY CANADA by Lesia Maruschak

This solo exhibition present images of the Saskatchewan prairies paired with narratives of my mother’s experiences of growing up in Canada during the 1940s - 50s.  The images transcend the sites’  ‘groundedness’ creating tension between specificity/universality. Questioning the meaning of belonging in a world with borders and migration. An exhibition in the Canada Naturally series.
