Collaboration between Maruschak and Scala

The incredibly talented Canadian mask and puppet designer, collage artist and illustrator, Clelia Scala has made the mask that will now become a lead prop in my next photography-based art series. Clelia makes masks for theatre and film and has taught mask-making and puppet-making in classroom and workshop settings. In addition, Clelia has made numerous masks for private individuals, performance artists, and organizations such as the Toronto District School Board and Seneca Collage. She is a recipient of three Ontario Arts Council (OAC) Exhibition Assistance grants (2015, 2016, 2016) and an OAC Theatre Creators' Reserve grant (2016).
