Copenhagen Photo Festival

The Censored Exhibition is Copenhagen Photo Festivals landmark exhibition. Since 2012, it has been the festival’s ambition to present an exhibition that collects 75-80 works of international contemporary photography with a focus on artistic expression. Maruschak will be one of 18 artist exhibiting works from the series KRYPTOS at "The Censored Exhibition".

This years, a jury composed of Beate Cegielska, curator and owner of Galleri Image in Aarhus, Tina Enghoff, visual artist, and Torben Sangild, art and cultural journalist, have in cooperation with the Copenhagen Photo Festival curated an exhibition from 1,872 received pictures  from photographers from all over the world.
In the jury’s opinion, the Censored Exhibition reflects the latest tendencies within contemporary photography: “It was very important for us that the exhibition shows the openness of today’s photography. The boundaries between genres are broken down and photography is being stretched in all directions. Photography is on a journey with numerous stations and some of them can be seen in this year’s censored exhibition.
